The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 standing changed twice on Saturday, June 28, twice within a few hours. The WTC climbed third in the WTC table after winning an innings and 78-ri at the Sinhali Sports Club in Sri Lanka, Colombo led by Dhananjay de Silva.
Sri Lanka sealed the two-match Test series against Bangladesh with a 1-0 win. The Sri Lankan bowlers put tireless pressure on the Bangladeshi batsmen throughout the match. Sri Lanka needed only 33 delivery to claim the remaining four wickets and wrap the match.

Under huge deficit pressure, Bangladesh fell into its second innings, managing only 133. Prabath Jayasuria acted with the ball, taking 5 wickets, to seal Jeet. Patham Nisanka was named both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series for his outstanding batting performance.
