The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced places for warm-up matches ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Three stadiums in England and Wales have been selected to host the Warm-up game for the global program, which is scheduled to begin on June 12 next year.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will end with the final on July 5 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Edgbaston (Birmingham), Hampshire Bowl (Southampton), Handingley (Leeds), Old Trafford (Manchester), Kennington Oval (London), and will host the County Ground (Bristol) matches.

According to the ICC website, the ICC has been selected to host Warm-up fixtures ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Although the official schedule for warm-up matches has not yet appeared, the ICC confirmed three places for the warm-up game. The 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held next year in England and Wales.
The report said, “Cardiff’s Sophia Garden, Derby County Ground and Lofboro University will host all warm-up fixers before the 2026 edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup starting on 12 June 2026 in Birmingham.”
Eight teams confirmed for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is already eligible out of the 12 teams set to participate in 2026, while the remaining four spots will be set through the global qualifier set earlier next year.
A total of 33 matches will be played in the tournament in 24 days at seven places in England and Wales. All participating teams will be targeted to secure the trophy. New Zealand claimed its first T20 World Cup title in Dubai last year.
Last month, fixtures and groups were announced, in which hosts England faced Sri Lanka in the initial match on June 12 in Birmingham.
India to face Pakistan despite diplomatic tension between the two countries
12 teams are divided into two groups of six. Australia, South Africa, India and Pakistan, along with two teams, have been placed in Group 1 with two teams, which will move through the Global qualifying tournament.
Australia are the most decorated aspects in the history of the competition, while South Africa finished runner -up in the last two versions. Despite recent diplomatic tension between the two countries, India is ready to face Pakistan.
Defending champions New Zealand, Hosts England, 2016 winners West Indies, and Sri Lanka are included in Group 2. The remaining two spots will be filled by the qualifying teams through the global tournament.
Both groups have a mixture of former champions, recent finalists and fierce rivals. The qualifying tournament will finalize the 12-team lineup for the 2026 events in England and Wales.
