On the other hand, India has been grouped with Pakistan, Netherlands, Namibia and the United States. The Netherlands, Namibia and the United States are all competitive but less threatening than Zimbabwe, Ireland and Oman.

There will be a tough competition between England and South Africa as soon as the format of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is revealed.

Meanwhile, there are four groups of five teams each in the tournament and one group looks very dangerous. England and West Indies have reportedly been drawn along with Bangladesh, who is a strong team in subcontinent conditions, Nepal and debutant Italy.

The format of the T20 World Cup will remain the same, as the top two teams from each pool will enter the Super Eight stage. From there, the best four teams will advance to the semi-finals, and the top two teams will compete for the championship.
