ICC clears the South African spinner of allegations of illegal bowling action
After being booked under allegations of an illegal bowling action against Australia, Protiyas spinner Prenetan Sabreyen was called by ICC for an independent bowling assessment test at the National Cricket Center in Brisbane.
The tests conducted on 26 August revealed that the amount of elbow expansion for all their delivery was within the desired degree standards set by the international body. The maximum limit to expand the elbow under the ICC illegal bowling rules is 15 degrees.
Now, action is considered legal, he can continue bowling in international cricket, where he has played in only 2 international fixtures. His test debut was against Zimbabwe, and his ODI debut was against Australia.
