ICC removed Indians from Player of the Month nominees for November 2025, Pakistani player got the place

The ICC has named three nominees as a trio of outstanding performers for the month of November. Players from South Africa, Bangladesh and November have been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month.

The ICC awards players every month for their best performances in the show, and for this, a number of nominees from across the ICC member nations are considered every month. Players are considered based on their performance in a series or multiple series in that month.

For November, ICC has selected South Africa’s off-spinner Simon Harmer, Bangladesh’s spinner Taijul Islam and Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz. These three cricketers have performed brilliantly in the last month and have led their team to victory.

Simon Harmer makes ICC Men’s Player of the Month nominees after impressive series in India

Following his commendable performances for South Africa with the ball, the 36-year-old off-spinner claimed a place among the nominees for Men’s Player of the Month for November.

He was the heart of the Protea bowling attack as South Africa eliminated India in the two-match Test series after a long wait of 25 years. Harmer single-handedly took a total of 17 wickets in the four innings of the game at an average of 8.94.

He took eight wickets in the first match in a rank turner at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and then backed up his stellar performance by taking another 9 wickets in the game in Guwahati. He took 6 wickets as the Indian batting line-up faltered while chasing the huge target and lost the game by 408 runs. After his brilliant performance, he was also the Player of the Series.

Taijul Islam took most wickets in Ireland series

After the Proteas spinner, another spinner features in the list, but this time from Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s left-arm orthodox spinner Taijul Islam has maintained his reputation as a reliable match-winner in home conditions.

Bangladesh also defeated Ireland 2–0 on home soil, with Taijul Islam taking 13 wickets at an average of 26.30 and finishing as their leading wicket-taker in the series.

He has recently emerged as the greatest player for Bangladesh on the field, as he is widely known for his ability to break partnerships at crucial junctures of the game. He challenged the Irish batsmen to find answers to his quality bowling.

Mohammad Nawaz listed after dominance across all formats

The Pakistan all-rounder spinner is the third nominee in the ICC list. Unlike the two other nominees, Nawaz did not display his dominance with the red ball; He has excelled in white-ball formats for Pakistan, especially in the tri-series wins over Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

With the bat, the left-handed lower-order finisher scored 104 ODI runs at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 114.25, while taking four wickets. Then in T20I he scored 52 runs at an average of 12.72 and took 11 wickets.

He was named Player of the Series in the tri-series after taking a match-winning 3/17 in the final against Sri Lanka.
