On Wednesday, August 20, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the ICC ranking updated, and surprisingly, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s names were missing from the list.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s absence from the ICC men’s ODI batting rankings has speculated about their retirement from 50 overs cricket.

However, now their names are not found anywhere in the ranking. Babar Azam is being shown as the number 2-ranked batsman in the chart headed by Shubman Gill, and Derryl Michel and Charith Asanka are in the third and fourth places.
Although there is speculation that the ICC has confirmed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s ODI retirement, most likely, there is a mess in the system, due to which they were removed as the two players are active in a day international cricket. But nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing this report.
Here is the ICC men’s ODI ranking with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli:
| Situation | Player | Rating |
| 1 | Shubman Gill | 784 |
| 2 | Babar Azam | 739 |
| 3 | Derail michelle | 720 |
| 4 | Chirith asanka | 719 |
| 5 | Harry tector | 708 |
