ICC President Jay Shah visited Delhi and met Argentine football legend Lionel Messi along with his Inter Miami teammates Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez. The meeting took place at a special event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday during the GOAT Tour.

ICC Chairman honored Argentina champion with ICC T20 World Cup ticket

Jay Shah offered the Argentine great along with his teammates an ICC T20 World Cup jersey with each of their names and jersey numbers printed on it. Along with the jersey, the ICC Chairman also presented Messi with tickets for the ICC T20 World Cup match between India and America.

The celebrities arrived at the Messi Stadium after an exhibition match was played between Messi All Stars and Minerva Messi All Stars, in which Minerva Messi won the match by a margin of 6–0. After this, Messi reached the venue and was given a warm welcome and the stadium was packed with fans who had come in large numbers to see the iconic star.

Lionel Messi concludes GOAT Tour at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Lionel Messi returned to the country at midnight on the 13th and planned a tour for the next three days. Messi, after moving through Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, reached Delhi on the third day of the GOAT India Tour.

In Mumbai, he was hosted by former Indian great Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Chhetri and Indian captain Rohit Sharma, among many other dignitaries. He reached Delhi on the afternoon of 15th and addressed his fans in Delhi.

“We carry all this love with us – we will definitely return – hopefully one day to play a match or on some other occasion, but we will definitely come back to visit India. Thank you very much. I want to thank everyone for the love and affection during these days in India – it was a really beautiful experience for us,” Messi said during the event, as he promised to return to India.
