The Indian Cricket Board expressed its deepest condolences to the ACB, the families of the victims and the people of Afghanistan.

The BCCI strongly condemned the attack and described it as a shocking and inhuman act in which innocent lives were lost. The board said that the loss of these promising cricketers is not only a tragedy for Afghanistan but also a moment of sadness for everyone who loves the game.
BCCI condemns the horrific and unjustified attack
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India expresses its deep sorrow and condolences on the tragic loss of three young Afghan cricketers – Kabir Aga, Sibgatullah and Haroon, who lost their lives in the cowardly cross-border airstrike in Paktika province,” board secretary Devjit Saikia said in an official statement.
The statement further read: “The BCCI stands in solidarity with the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), the cricket fraternity and the families of the deceased players in this moment of deep grief and condemns this horrific and unjustified attack.
The loss of innocent lives, especially of promising players, is extremely sad and a matter of great concern. The Board expresses its heartfelt condolences to the people of Afghanistan and shares in their pain and loss.

Ceasefire between Afghanistan and Pakistan
In a major relief, Afghanistan and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire after a week-long fierce clashes along their shared border. The decision came after talks brokered by Qatar and Turkey ended days of deadly violence that had escalated tensions between the two countries.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that both Pakistan and Afghanistan have not only agreed to stop fighting but will also take new steps to maintain peace and stability.
