Kohli shared an honest and deeply personal review of the film after watching it on Instagram Stories. His words reflected genuine appreciation for both the storytelling and the performances.
“Watched the movie today and I dare say I have never seen a cinematic experience like this made in India. It brought all kinds of emotions to the surface and for almost 4 hours I didn’t flinch once.” Kohli wrote highlighting the entertaining nature of the narrative.
Ranveer Singh gets special praise from King Kohli
He praised director Aditya Dhar’s approach and described his work as a reflection of “talent and conviction”. Kohli did not shy away from praising the film’s cast but gave special praise to Ranveer.
Praising the collective effort of the cast, Kohli praised Ranveer for his career-defining performance.
“@AdityadharFilms, your talent and conviction shines through in everything you have made. Hats off to you. You are brilliant. And though all the actors were great in their roles but @RanveerSingh you have achieved a different level after this film and your performance was brilliant. Absolutely wow,” Kohli added.

Kohli’s praise did not go unnoticed. Director Aditya immediately reacted by re-sharing the cricketer’s message on his social media and expressed immense gratitude.
Clearly overwhelmed, Dhar called Kohli a “once-in-a-generation legend” and revealed that the accolade holds special meaning for him. He also shared a personal note, recalling how he has been a fan of Kohli since the U-19 World Cup days.
“Wow! Can’t believe this is happening Virat, it really means a lot. Been a fan of yours since your 19WC days. It’s impactful to see a once-in-a-generation great show being loved like this. The way you move the country every time you step out inspires us, in our own small way, we will always try to make India proud with our films. Jai Hind,” Aditya wrote.

The Dhurandhar franchise is no less than an event. The first installment, released in December 2025, turned into a huge blockbuster, reportedly crossing ₹1300 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Dhurandhar The Revenge, released on March 19, has taken things to another level. With an impressive opening of ₹145 crore, the film has already crossed ₹1600 crore globally, cementing its place among the biggest Indian cinematic successes.
