In a surprise development in Pakistani cricket, a new documentary has been released on the rise of Sahibzada Farhan. Zero Studios has released a special documentary series titled “Hero in the Making”, which shows the journey of Sahibzada Farhan from the small streets of Charsadda to becoming one of the most talked about artists of Pakistan.

The documentary was a tribute to Farhan after his strong performance against India in the Asia Cup 2025, where he was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan. The documentary, which has already released on November 15, takes the audience through every phase of Farhan’s life.

Documentary based on Sahibzada Farhan’s bravery against India released

It shows how the right-handed batsman started playing with a tape ball and a tennis ball, simply because there were no proper grounds or training facilities in his hometown. This also shows that Farhan did not start out as a batsman at all, but he actually trained as a fast bowler before finding his true identity with the bat.

The documentary also highlights how he made his domestic T20 debut at the age of just 17. But the real turning point in his career came in first-class cricket, where he became a consistent performer. In the nine years from 2016, he scored over 4500 runs at an average above 45.

However, the 29-year-old’s journey was not very easy. Farhan made his T20I debut at the age of 22 against Australia in 2018 but was dropped after only three matches. He did not get another chance to play for Pakistan until 2024. However, his patience finally paid off.

Rise of Sahibzada Farhan after Pakistan’s withdrawal

Farhan made a strong comeback after shining in the 2025 National T20 Cup, where his performances were so good that the selectors could no longer ignore him. That tournament played a major role in his recall to the Indian cricket team.

His recent performance against India in the Asia Cup 2025 has enhanced his reputation as a reliable batsman. Along with the documentary series “Hero in the Making”, Farhan’s growing popularity has also led to a new collaboration.
