Indian national cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav may be going through a rough patch, but he has made sure to remain happy among his teammates and keep the atmosphere light.

Suryakumar Yadav was seen in a funny mood after the fourth T20 match between India national cricket team and Australia national cricket team as he was seen teasing Abhishek Sharma.

Suryakumar Yadav teased Abhishek Sharma for slow innings

He reached this historic milestone on the basis of his sensational performance for the Indian national cricket team in the last one year. While opening the innings for India, he has played very aggressive cricket and has also maintained consistency.

Abhishek Sharma plays aggressive cricket right from the first ball and continues to play in the same way while being in the middle. His career strike of 189.82 tells a lot about the talent of the batsman.

However, Abhishek was unable to maintain a high strike rate in the fourth T20I against Australia in Carrara. He finished his innings with a strike rate of 133.33 and scored 28 runs in 21 balls with the help of three fours and a six.

The left-handed opening batsman was dismissed by Adam Zampa while trying to hit a six over long on on the fourth ball of the 7th over.

This was one of the slowest innings played by Abhishek in T20I cricket, and Suryakumar made sure to take a dig at the batsman on his slow innings.

After the match, as the Indian players were boarding the team bus, Suryakumar Yadav jokingly pulled Abhishek Sharma, and looking into journalist Vimal Kumar’s camera, he said: “Kabhi dekha hai sher ko ghaas khaate hume? (Have you ever seen a lion eating grass?),” referring to his 133.33 strike rate in Queensland.

He said, “Aaj sher ghaas kha raha tha dheere dheere karke, (Today, the lion was eating grass – slowly, little by little).”

I agree with Suryakumar Yadav’s assessment when he said that I am out of run, not out of form – Irfan Pathan

In a video shared on his official YouTube channel, Irfan Pathan talked about the poor condition of Suryakumar Yadav and said that the India captain is not out of form. He said:

“I agree with Suryakumar Yadav’s assessment when he said I was out of runs, not out of form. The way he was batting – hit two sixes. He likes to bat a bit at the top but came in later. As soon as he came in, he started playing big shots.

“He scored 20 runs off 10 balls with a strike rate of almost 200, which means you are comfortable even under pressure. He is not out of form, just short of scoring big runs. We expect Surya to score big runs every time, but his batting position is not fixed and the team is experimenting with the order ahead of the World Cup. It is understandable. But I accept that Surya is not out of form.”
