South African legend Hashim Amla recently chosen Brian Lara, Steve Waugh, and former team partner Jacques Kallis as his three favorite players, as they were asked to name the three best players of all time.
The players’ choice surprised everyone, as it did not include legends such as former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar or Australian legend Ricky Ponting. Both of these are the most run-songs among the two formats, until Kumar Sangakkara and Virat Kohli crossed the record of Ponting in Odis.
However, players who have named the former South African opener have undoubtedly seen the cricket of some great batsmen.
