Harshit Rana stuns Travis Head with a fast ball as Virat Kohli takes the dolly to finish the job

Team India fast bowler Harshit Rana dismissed Australia’s aggressive opener Travis Head during the second ODI of the three-match series at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Thursday, October 23. Virat Kohli completed a simple and comfortable catch as Head returned to the dressing room after scoring 28 runs.

Invited to bat first, the Shubman Gill-led team scored a total of 264/9. Former captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries after the fall of early wickets. Lower-order batsmen Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh contributed important runs and helped the team cross the 250-run mark.

While defending the target, Arshdeep Singh gave India the first success. The left-arm fast bowler dismissed Australia captain Mitchell Marsh for just 11 runs in 24 balls. The Australian team lost its first wicket on the score of 30 runs.

Soon after, Harshit Rana dismissed Travis Head for 28 runs. Head tried to flick a good length delivery on the pads, but it went high towards mid-off, where Virat Kohli took a simple catch.

Rana’s wicket proved to be a crucial moment, putting pressure on the Australians and giving momentum to the Shubman Gill-led side as they looked to defend their total.
