23-year-old Indian national cricket team right-arm fast bowler Harshit Rana bid a fond farewell to 22-year-old South Africa national cricket team batsman Dewald Brewis on Sunday, November 30.

The incident occurred during the first ODI of the three-match series between the India national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Dewald Brevis became the victim of Harshit Rana on 37 runs.

Harshit Rana looks to be India’s best bowler in the ongoing game against the Proteas in MS Dhoni’s hometown. He bowled brilliantly while sharing the new ball with Arshdeep Singh and then continued his brilliant bowling as the ball became old.

Rana struck twice in his first over and sent back Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton before the exceptionally talented top-order batsman could trouble the scorers.

When Rana returned for his second spell, he was troubled by the explosive Proteas batsman Dewald Brewis, who decided to launch an attack on the fast bowler.

Dewald Brewis also hit a brilliant no-look six off Rana in the 20th over, which hurt the fast bowler’s ego and left him desperate to take the wicket of the right-handed batsman.

In his next over, Rana bowled three consecutive dot balls against Dewald Brevis before taking his wicket on the fourth.

The right-arm pacer bowled a full-length delivery outside the off-stump, while Brevis advanced towards the lofted side. The South African batsman could not make good connection with the ball and was caught by Ruturaj Gaikwad at sweeper cover.

Harshit Rana was completely ecstatic after taking the wicket, and gave the batsman a rousing farewell by wagging his finger and saying an expletive or two.

Virat Kohli also looked in high spirits and celebrated aggressively as Brevis returned to the pavilion after scoring 37 runs off 28 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.
