England National cricket team batting sensation Harry Brook has separated his team partner Joe Root to become the number 1 batsman in the ICC Mains Test batting rankings.
Apart from this, India National Cricket Team Test Captain Shubman Gill has jumped extensively and is now ranked sixth in the test rankings for the batsmen.

Harry Brook and Shubman Gill Shine in India vs England series
The 26-year-old Brook has been in a sensational form in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. In the first match at Handingley in Leeds, he registered 99 and 0 in two innings before breaking 158 and 23 in the second Test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
In the first two matches, these demonstrations with Joe Root’s failure pushed her to the top of the ranking, which returned to second place with the root.
Meanwhile, India captain Shubman Gill, who has recorded scores of 147, 8, 269 and 161 against Three Lions, has secured 15 places to get in a new career-first rating and ranks sixth in total in the ICC Test batting rankings.
