The England captain also revealed that the dressing room is well aware of what is at stake ahead of the Southampton clash. Brook also praised his team’s performance throughout the series, acknowledging India’s quality despite the disappointing performance.
“If I’m honest, beating India 4-0 would be a very special series win. And becoming No. 1 in the world would be even better. That’s our main aim. We want to go out there and try and beat them again. We’ve been told that if we win the next game, we’ll be No. 1 in the world and that’s definitely a prize we have our eyes on. India are a strong side. They probably haven’t been that good in this series We’re more difficult than we have been in the last few games, but we’re really happy with the way we executed our plans.” Brook said.

Brooke and Phil Salt help England win the series
England clinched the series with a massive nine-wicket win in the fourth T20 match. While chasing the target, Brook played a sensational inning of 79 not out in just 35 balls. Phil Salt Carried the innings forward with a stormy innings of 59 runs in 42 balls. Both of them made an unbeaten partnership of 146 runs and gave England the victory with six overs remaining and established their dominance in the entire match.
With the series already secured, England will now aim to deliver a stellar performance in Southampton. A win in the fifth T20I would not only take India 4-0 up in the series, but would also propel Brook’s side to the No. 1 spot in the ICC men’s T20I team rankings.
