With the ball, Akash Deep and Mohammad Siraj gave India a good start and reduced England and reduced to 84/5. The hosts were completely down and out when Jamie Smith joined with Harry Brook in the middle.

Any wicket ahead would have pushed out from the game completely, but Harry Brook did not let this happen with Jamie Smith.

Brooke carefully batted, while Smith played a reversal knock to transfer the speed back towards England.

Smith hit his ton off 80 balls, and Brook reached a three-stoned milestone off 137 balls. England White-Ball Skipar registered its ninth century in Test cricket in great fashion in its ninth century, cutting Prasad Krishna with a diver street and deep third for four.

Yorkshireman has hit nine tons in 44 innings in Test cricket, and this is the lowest innings taken by any player to score nine tests in the last 17 years. In addition, his nine tons have the second highest in trials since 2022.
