Left arm spinner of Punjab Kings Harpreet Brar Now he is embroiled in controversy by replying to a controversial post of Rajasthan Royals.
After RR’s win against Punjab on April 28, the inaugural champions quoted Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s viral 2014 tweet. In 2014, Khan had tweeted, “Has Zinta’s team won?” Asked whether Punjab Kings – which is co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta – had won their match.

RR had quoted the above tweet with a video of Donovan Ferreira sitting near his Player of the Match trophy from the game and saying “sorry bhai, aaj nahin” (sorry bhai, not today). Khan is fondly called ‘Bhai’.

RR’s win over PBKS broke the latter’s unbeaten streak and handed them their first defeat of the season.

In the video now going viral, Punjab Kings’ Harpreet Brar was seen talking about RR’s actions after their win over PBKS.
“They [RR] Have uploaded a lot of reels about us and Punjab. I just want to say one thing that the coin can turn any time. And even if we lose, our reels go viral. the day we [PBKS] beat you [RR}, I will show you. We are not hurt after losing the match, but we are very hurt by the reel.”
“The Dal Bhati Churma [local Rajasthani dish] Will get burnt that day. You said ‘not today brother’, if not today then someday this will happen, you guys be prepared for this. that poor man [Ferriera] Probably didn’t even know what he was saying,” Brar said.

Harpreet Brar in IPL 2026
have been a part of Berar punjab kings Since 2019, but has played only sporadically. In 8 seasons, Brar has played all 50 of his IPL matches for Punjab Kings. So far he has taken 35 wickets at an economy rate of less than 8.
In 2025, Harpreet Brar had his most successful IPL season in terms of wickets, but he has played only one match in 2026. He was brought in as an impact player against Rajasthan Royals and took four wickets for just 25 runs as RR chased 223 in Mullanpur.

RR will take on Delhi Capitals in their next match on May 1 in Jaipur. Rajasthan is currently in fourth place Mark sheet 12 points with six wins from nine matches.
Punjab Kings have 13 points from 8 matches with six wins and one no result. After experiencing their first defeat of the season the previous day, PBKS will take on GT in Ahmedabad on May 3.
Although Harpreet Brar talked about Punjab’s “revenge” on RR, the two sides are unlikely to meet again in the league stage of this year’s tournament. But current trends suggest that the two may meet in the playoff stage.
