Pakistani national cricket team star fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Batter Sahibzada Farhan managed to escape the suspension after filing an official complaint with the ICC at their controversial gestures during the High-Voltage India-Pakistan Super Four Clash at the 2025 ASIA Cup.

However, ICC President J Shah has implemented strict financial punishment on Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan to set an example for the future.

In particular, Sahibzada was called by the ICC to firing a gun in the air, while Rauf is facing a head for his “6–0” and aircraft accident gestures.

According to the latest reports, sanctions are expected to include heavy fines for their on-field behavior on both Sahibzada and Rauf. It is being said that during the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match on 21 September, 50-100% of his match fee can be fined for his controversial gestures.

During the hearing, Farhan tried to defend himself by telling the match referee Andy Picroft that India’s MS Dhoni celebrated in the same way as he had done. However, despite a strong complaint from the BCCI, no suspension has been declared by the ICC yet.
