Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against England due to a quadricep injury. India is adopting a cautious approach regarding Hardik Pandya after injury
Hardik Pandya’s recovery has taken longer than expected, causing him to miss several upcoming series for India. After being out of the ODI series against Afghanistan, this star all-rounder will not be able to play in the T20 series against Ireland and England.
The selectors have also dropped Hardik from India’s squad for the Asian Games, where the men’s cricket competition begins on September 24. This decision will allow him to focus on the ODI World Cup 2027.
Before the Afghanistan series, Hardik suffered a thigh strain during training at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. He immediately informed the medical team and underwent a scan, which ruled him out of the series. Although there were initial hopes that he would recover in time, he has not regained full fitness.
According to the latest reports, Hardik is not completely fit to bowl and play in ODI cricket. He needs more time to complete his recovery and regain full match fitness.
