The India National Cricket Team has suffered a major setback as star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will recall an ODI series of the upcoming three matches against Australia, which began in Perth on 19 October. Hardik Pandya had already missed the final of the Asia Cup 2025 that India won five wickets against Pakistan.
Hardik faced an injury to a left quadriseps during India’s last Super Four Conflict against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2025, forcing him to sit in the controversial finals so far. The injury is serious, and the star all -rounder is reportedly advised to comfort at least four weeks.
India sidelined Hardik Pandya for Australia Odis
It excluded Pandya from the upcoming three -match ODI series in Australia. However, there is still a chance that star all-rounder may return to the five-match T20I series against Australia, starting October 29 in Hobart, only if he manages to get full fitness in time.

His absence affects the balance of India’s team, as Pandya plays an important role in both batting and bowling. The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to issue an official statement soon about Pandya’s injury and the squad for Australia’s upcoming White-Ball tour.
