Rajasthan Royals’ 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has spent IPL 2026 terrorizing bowlers and enthralling the spectators. Although his sixes undoubtedly entertain a lot, all bowlers are afraid to face him.
Suryavanshi’s hitting range was on full display on Sunday when he scored 46 runs with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes in 21 balls against Delhi Capitals. Even though RR lost the match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi walked away with praise.

On Sunday in Delhi, Vaibhav’s perfect start, or his 70-run partnership with Dhruv Jurel, was not enough for RR. Jurel and RR captain Riyan Parag both scored half-centuries, but Mitchell Starc made a comeback in the fifteenth over.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh shared his strategy on how he would have bowled to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Harbhajan said that the best strategy would be to swing the ball away from his hitting arc. After this he compared this teenager with T20 legend Chris Gayle.
Speaking on JioHotstar, Harbhajan said, “Against Vaibhav Suryavanshi, I will plan to take his wicket anyhow. But the kind of form he is in, it matters a lot. I will plan to spin the ball and keep it away from his hitting arc. If he comes out of the crease and tries to hit me, that’s fine. But I don’t want him to stand in the crease and play his shots. That’s my bowling plan. Will happen.”
He said, “But the kind of batsman he is, at the age of 15 he is hitting every bowler for sixes. I have played with many players, but I have never seen a batsman like Suryavanshi, who dominates every bowler from the first ball. I have dismissed Chris Gayle many times, but Suryavanshi is on a completely different level. The flow of his bat is something I have never seen.”
