The former IPL champions have retained their top three batsmen of Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan and Jos Buttler, and will look to support the trio to do well next season, just like they did in IPL 2025.
The responsibility in the bowling department will be on Mohammed Siraj, who has been retained by GT for the upcoming season as well.
Key players of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026
Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill is going through a bad phase as far as T20I cricket is concerned, he will be backed by Gujarat Titans to be the captain of the team to perform well in IPL 2026.
Shubman’s form is crucial for GT’s chances of making the playoffs for the second consecutive season under his leadership.
Sai Sudarshan
A lot has changed for Sai Sudarshan between the two IPL editions, as the left-handed batsman has become a Test cricketer for India and he will look to use that experience to the advantage of Gujarat Titans, who are heavily dependent on their top three batsmen.
If Sudarshan moves forward, he could be a batsman who can hold one end and change gears when needed.
jos buttler
Former England captain Jos Buttler completes the trio of highest run-scorers for GT in the 2025 season and is expected to do the same in the upcoming edition for GT to have a strong chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see how Buttler bats, having usually opened the innings at number three last season.
Mohammad Siraj
Veteran fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who led the GT bowling attack last season, will be handed the same responsibility in the 19th edition.
Siraj, who has been in good form in international cricket in 2025, will look to continue the same next year and take wickets for Gujarat Titans in all three phases of the game.
Having said that, Siraj will hope to get good support from other bowlers as well, as was the case in 2025.
Performance of Gujarat Titans in IPL
Gujarat Titans have done well in their short IPL journey, finishing in the top four in three of the four seasons the team has played so far, including a title win in 2022 followed by another finals appearance the following year.
