Former England national cricket team speedster Steve Harmison brutally slammed and threatened the India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Steve Hormison said Gautam Gambhir is stubborn, and his personality does not give positive vibes to outsiders, who sees him controlling the Indian dressing room.
Gautam Gambhir is struggling in India
Gambhir represented Team India in 58 Tests and scored 4154 runs and scored at a decent average of 41.95. Although his number was decent as a player, Red-Ball Cricket does not seem to have his favorite format.

Since becoming India’s head coach in all three formats, Gambhir has helped the team to be very successful in T20I and ODI cricket.
Under his guidance, India surprisingly won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, leading to the back-to-back ICC title as Captain with Rohit Sharma.
However, Test cricket has been a format where India has been struggling for a long time since Gautam Gambhir became the head coach.
Bangladesh was embarrassed by defeating Bangladesh 2–0 in a home test series, embarrassing home at home 0-3 whitewash and lost to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 1-3.

Currently, Gautam Gambhir’s five-match testing series against India is in the five-match testing series-Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy is trailing 2025-and 1-2.
India is on the verge of defeat in the ongoing fourth Test match at Old Trafford, Manchester, and a disadvantage here would mean the third consecutive Test series defeat under Gambhir.
Speaking on TalkSport Cricket YouTube channel, ahead of the play on day 4, former Pesar Steve Hormison exploded Gambhir’s insistence. He said:
“Their stubbornness and their personality do not heat anyone from outside. He is not like a character or personality that can sweeten the way you get out of things.”
In Test cricket, serious questions have been raised on the selection and strategy of India’s team, as it depends a lot on all -rounders, rather than serious experts.

Gautam Gambhir threatened by Steve Hormison
Steve Hormison further threatened Gambhir, saying that he would find a lot of pelters, which means criticism, attacks, or abuse, when he travels back to India after losing the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. He said in detail:
“Gautam Gambhir, as long as you win at home, you can get away from home with some necklaces. But when you beat 3–0 against New Zealand and then you lose both the border-gavaskar and Anderson-Tendulkar, then going to an aircraft and going back to India, you are going to get the pelters every time.”
“He will show his teeth, he will take a nap, and he, if anything, will dug a deep hole or take the bunker even further. And I can’t think he can do it with this team, because I am not sure how long Jasprit Bumrah has left how long if you are bowling.
