Shilaja also revealed that he batted with Washington Sundar when he played together, and it gave his team a left-right benefit. He said:
“We used to play together and open the innings for our team. I was a right hand and it was a left-hand. The right-left combination worked. We actually used to build a good partnership. They are all cute memories now.”
