India national cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has finally tried to put an end to the Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma feud talk through a strong social media post.
Ever since taking over as India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir has been made the main target whenever something goes wrong. Many fans and critics have often blamed the former cricketer for every major and painful decision of Indian cricket.
Gautam has been facing serious criticism since becoming the head coach of India.
From Kohli and Rohit retiring from Test cricket to the rule that senior players have to play domestic matches to be eligible for Indian selection and a Test XI full of all-rounders, Gautam Gambhir has been blamed for it all. India’s recent poor results in Tests and ODIs have further intensified the noise, with many again suggesting that Gambhir now wants to drop Kohli and Rohit from the ODI team.

Gautam Gambhir has repeatedly made it clear that the ICC World Cup 2027 is still two years away, and no player can be seen as a sure selection at this stage, and the same applies to Kohli and Rohit. But online trolls and critics are calling it a personal agenda against two of India’s biggest icons.
Some have claimed that he will destroy Indian cricket, while others have compared him to some of the worst coaching tours of the past. Gambhir’s bold team selection and unusual combinations have been questioned time and again. On social media, he has become the subject of endless jokes and memes, portraying him as an angry, stubborn or careless coach.
Gautam Gambhir broke his silence and raised questions on the story
Now for the first time Gambhir has given a direct answer without taking anyone’s name. He suggested that people have misunderstood how much power a coach actually has and that the idea of him having complete control is far from the truth. He also finds it strange and unfair to be shown as someone working against his own players, especially those who have given so much to Indian cricket.
His comments came after the first T20 match between India and New Zealand in Nagpur, where he had met Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on January 21. Tharoor praised Gambhir for remaining calm despite immense pressure and continuing his work despite being criticized by millions of people every day.

Communication system stalled inside the Indian camp?
Nevertheless, some reports claimed that Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma have a strained relationship, with the two avoiding each other during some practice sessions. There were reports of complete communication breakdown during India’s Australia ODI tour.
Reports have also claimed that Virat Kohli and Gambhir have a frosty relationship, with many noting that their interactions during India’s ODI matches now appear limited and entirely professional.
