The whole nation is excited for another India vs Pakistan cricket match. Tonight, the Indian women’s cricket team will take on the Pakistan women’s cricket team at Edgbaston, Birmingham for the group stage match of the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 tournament.
Ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup clash, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a special video on the official ‘X’ account. Through the video, Indian men’s cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir, ODI captain Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and newly appointed T20 captain Shreyas Iyer have tried to inspire the women’s team through their words of wisdom and experience.

Every time you are in doubt, take the positive path: Gautam Gambhir
Head coach Gautam Gambhir deeply believes that the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team will definitely make millions of Indian cricket fans proud. He told that he is among the few selected players who have been selected for the match. While giving advice to the Indian women’s cricket team, Gautam Gambhir said that they should not be afraid of giving advice and always maintain a positive attitude.
Gautam Gambhir said through the video, “I am sure you are going to make 140 crore Indians proud. Not many people get the opportunity to represent the country on the world stage. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Every time you are in doubt, take the positive path. Good luck, bring home the cup.”
Best wishes from all of us: Rohit Sharma
Former India captain Rohit Sharma, under whose leadership the Men in Blue captured the 2024 T20 World Cup and also came close to winning the ODI World Cup, points out that in the past, the women’s cricket team had come very close to touching glory in the format.

But they can complete the unfinished business now as they have performed well in recent times. Sharma firmly believes that with a well-balanced and solid core, Kaur and Co. have all the elements to make a positive dent in this year’s T20 World Cup.
“They have been playing really good cricket for the last few years. I know they have come very close in T20 cricket, but I want them to go further this time. Everyone is supporting them. They have a solid team, a very well-balanced team. And they will enjoy playing in England. All the best from all of us in the men’s team India,” Rohit Sharma said.

Shubman Gill: You guys have won it before, and you’ll win it again
