Gautam Gambhir got angry on Sanju Samson’s dismissal: On Thursday, India faced Zimbabwe at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This match is a must win for both the teams after losing their first Super 8 games against South Africa and West Indies respectively. Suryakumar Yadav’s team was invited to bat first after Sikandar Raza won the toss.
There were two changes in the Indian team, in which Sanju Samson was included in place of Rinku Singh and Akshar Patel was included in place of Washington Sundar. The Indian national cricket team had a great start and Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma looked aggressive from the beginning. Sanju Samson gets the start; However, the wicketkeeper batsman failed to convert it.
Sanju Samson could not convert his good start into goals

Samson was brought back into the team after Rinku Singh went back home due to a family emergency and missed the training sessions. Sanju will be very disappointed to miss another opportunity; However, he gave India the start they needed.

2024 was a great year for Sanju Samson; However, since last year, he has been in and out of the team, and was even playing out of his starting position during the Asia Cup. But despite opening for the team again, he failed. Since 2026, he has 92 runs in just 7 innings at an average of 13.14.
India is firing in full force
India have been at full strength against Chevron, with Abhishek Sharma scoring his first half-century of the tournament. Ishan Kishan is out after scoring 38 runs in 24 balls. The Men in Blue would like to post a big score with seven overs remaining and the score is 149/2.
Abhishek is batting on 55 off 29 balls and captain Suryakumar Yadav is at the crease with well-set Abhishek Sharma. So far it has been a good pitch for batting. India next face West Indies as it is potentially a quarter-final and both the teams will have to win the last game.
