India has made three changes in its playing XI for the second Test of the five -match series against England, which are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 2 July in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Sai Reformson and Shardul Thakur have been removed from the lineup, while Jasprit Bumrah has been rested to manage their charge.
England claimed a five-wicket win in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Next to the second Test, Ben Stokes chose to bat first after winning the toss. The XI, its play in India, has three all -rounders. They aim to strengthen both their batting and bowling departments to bounce back into the series.

Washington Sundar added depth to both batting and bowling. Nitish Kumar Reddy comes for Shardul Thakur, who had a great performance in Leeds. Thakur took just two wickets for 89 runs in 16 overs and failed to contribute with the bat.
It is worth noting that visitors had collapsed the lower order in both innings of the series opener, which eventually caused their defeat, yet scored in five innings in five innings.
