India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir appreciated his team’s performance after a concrete victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 14 September. Gambhir thanked the Indian Armed Forces for Operation Sindoor for successfully targeting terrorist outfits in Pakistan.
Team India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in Dubai in their Asia Cup 2025 Group A Clash. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for 28 runs, as India made Pakistan just 127 for nine in 20 overs. In response, India chased the target in 15.5 overs to win the tournament continuously.

Talking to Broadcasters after the victory, Gautam Gambhir said that he wanted to show solidarity with the victims and families of the Pahalgam attack. Gambhir said that the team wants to be proud of the country through its performance in the tournament.

Could not be said for a better performance – Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir said that Indian bowlers, especially spinners and Jasprit Bumrah put Pakistan batsmen under pressure. Gambhir insisted that the bowling performance chased for the batsmen.

The India-Pakistan match was played in the Asia Cup 2025 amidst a stressful atmosphere, with a call for boycott after Pahalgam terror attack and operation vermilion.
