The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the schedule of the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026, a tournament focused on developing the next generation of women cricketers. Rebranded from the Emerging Asia Cup, the tournament is to be played in T20I format in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tournament will feature “A” teams from four full member nations: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. They will be joined by four associate teams: United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Malaysia and Thailand. The event will be played in the T20 format, with all eight teams divided into two groups of four each for the group stage.
Format, qualification rules and team updates for Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026
There will be a total of 15 matches in the tournament. Eight teams will compete, divided into two groups of four each. Each team will play three group matches.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The winners of those matches will then face each other in the final.
The event aims to provide valuable international exposure to young cricketers from across Asia. It helps players move from domestic cricket to the senior level and allows associate teams to test themselves against future stars.
The teams for the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 have not been announced yet. The participating cricket boards are expected to announce the names of their teams in the coming days.
Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 schedule announced
The official schedule of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 has been announced, with 15 matches to be played in the tournament. The group-stage games will be played from 13 to 18 February, followed by the semi-finals on 20 February and the final on 22 February.
Group A includes India A, Pakistan A, United Arab Emirates and Nepal. Group B consists of Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, Malaysia and Thailand.
One of the most awaited matches will be India A taking on Pakistan A on 15th February. The match has already attracted the attention of fans due to the long-standing rivalry between the two sides, making it one of the key games of the tournament.
