The Capitals’ innings was further strengthened by valuable contributions from Laura Wolvaardt and Liezel Lee, who ensured that the scoring rate never dropped. In the final overs, Chinelle Henry provided a late flourish, scoring 35 runs in just 15 balls to take Delhi past the 200-run mark.

RCB’s response was led by a brilliant captaincy innings from Smriti Mandhana, who smashed a blistering 87 runs off 41 balls. His innings set the tone early on and kept the required run rate firmly under control. He found an ideal partner in Georgia Woll, who played a mature and composed inning of 79 runs off 54 balls.
