Former England captain warns Indian batsmen before T20 World Cup semi-final match

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has issued a warning to Team India before the semi-final match with England at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5. The great players of English cricket are of the opinion that the English spinners will prove to be a heavy burden on the Indian batsmen on the possible turning track of Wankhede.

Michael Vaughan has placed a big bet on the spinners of the England national cricket team. Vaughan felt that Adil Rashid, Liam Dawson and Will Jacks could do their job with precision. He also appreciated the efforts of the England cricket team players shown on the field while fielding.

England has a better spin attack than India – Michael Vaughan

The former cricketer, who is now working as a cricket expert and commentator, took a bold stance and claimed that England could go through Team India to play the final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026.

“England have a better spin attack than India. [Varun] Chakraborty has got it. Dawson, Rashid and Will Jacks have been the best trio in the tournament in terms of spin. England’s fielding has been absolutely extraordinary. They look really alert”, the 51-year-old man told the BBC on March 3.

He said, “England’s running between the wickets has been extraordinary. The things you can control yourself, England are doing very well. I just have a funny feeling that England can do the job in Mumbai.”

Looks like he’s found a way to win – Michael Vaughan

For example, Vaughan mentioned England’s match against New Zealand in the Super 8, which the Harry Brook-led team won. He was impressed to see how the boys put in their efforts even to win an unimportant match.

Michael Vaughan noted, “They seem to have found a way to win. The win against New Zealand, even though it was a useless rubber, was a great effort to get over the line.”
