Former India and Karnataka fast bowler Dodda Ganesh has hit out at former Chennai Super Kings legend Ambati Rayudu for trying to take credit for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s success in IPL 2026.
Defending champions RCB are currently on top of the points table in IPL 2026 and have practically qualified for the playoffs. Only one win in their remaining 2 matches will surely complete the job.
On Wednesday, RCB beat Kolkata Knight Riders in their last home match of the season, but it was in Raipur. RCB also has the best net run rate in the league right now.

On Thursday, RCB easily defeated KKR by 6 wickets in Raipur. Batting first, Finn Allen bowled fast, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar kept him in check. Ajinkya Rahane was once again disappointing. Cameron Green got the start, but he could not convert it into a big score.
After this, Angkrish Raghvanshi’s innings of 71 and Rinku Singh’s unbeaten 49 runs to give a strong score to KKR. However, RCB easily crossed the 193-run mark as if it was nothing. Jacob Bethel once again got out early, but both Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal avoided wasting their chances to stitch a 92-run partnership for the second wicket.
Kohli then completed his century in the chase, while Kartik Tyagi took three wickets which could not stop RCB from ending KKR’s four-match winning streak.

After the game, Ambati Rayudu spoke to ESPN Cricinfo and shared his thoughts about RCB’s table-topping success.

RCB’s next match in IPL 2026
Only two matches are left for RCB in the league stage in IPL 2026. Both these matches will be outside.
First, they will take on Punjab Kings in Dharamshala in a one-day game on May 17. Then, they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad – the same team against whom they started their season – in Hyderabad on May 22.
