Pacer Tanveer Ahmed of former Pakistan national cricket team has sent a strong message to superstar batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Tanveer Ahmed told Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan that they should follow the footsteps of Virat Kohli and retire from international cricket if they feel humiliated after the Asia Cup 2025 snub.

His batting forms have seen a huge decline, and they are not able to win any matches for Pakistan.
Due to his poor performance, he was an axed from the Pakistan teams, and despite some speculation, the Pakistan team failed to cut the team for the Asia Cup.
Babar Azam has played 128 matches for Pakistan and on an average scored 4223 runs at a strike rate of 39.83 and 129.22. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan has played 106 games and scored 2723 runs at an average of 47.41 on an average and a strike rate of 125.37.
Consider retiring from international cricket – Tanveer Ahmed
Babur Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were mainly exiting the Asia Cup 2025 squad as they had a poor strike rate. However, former Pakistan fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed has urged to retire from international cricket after the ‘Virat Kohli’ path, if he felt humiliated.

Another former Pakistan cricketer, Javed Miadad, was quite disappointed for not being selected for the Asia Cup 2025.
Javed Miandad exploded the selection committee and said that Babar Azam is a great player who needs to support in difficult times.
