Sahebzada Farhan He once again proved why he is one of the standout batsmen of the tournament by scoring a brilliant 100 off 60 balls. Pakistan eventually finished with 212 for 8 – a strong score, but one that came with added pressure due to the qualification equation.
Dasun Shanaka’s heroics almost spoil the script
Sri Lanka started the chase with useful contributions kamil mishara And charit asalanka. Pawan RathnayakeThe innings of 58 off 37 balls kept the required rate manageable, setting the stage for a late attack.
Shanaka then revived hopes of a miraculous chase by scoring a brilliant innings of 76 runs in just 31 balls with the help of eight sixes in a breathtaking display of power-hitting. For a moment it seemed that Sri Lanka might achieve an unforgettable victory.

A consolation win as New Zealand reach the semi-finals.

With this, Pakistan were eliminated from the tournament despite a fighting performance, while D confirmed their place in the semi-finals. Farhan was named Player of the Match for his brilliant century – an innings that deserved bigger rewards, but ultimately could not turn Pakistan’s fortunes in the competition.

Your captain says dew was a factor, you knew you could lose the toss yet things went in favor of Nawaz and Shadab. Fahem was essential, he could score well even in the lower order. Pathetic captain. Your issue has always been the lower order, you needed Sam instead of Usman, and Faheem instead of Nawaz or Shadab. #PAKvSL

#PAKvSL 147 was always going to be small to defend on this pitch. What target did Sri Lanka achieve? Shanaka and Ratnayake were in wonderful pursuit. Great match of cricket. #ICCMensT20WorldCup
