Nicholas Pooran continued his questionable form in the IPL this season as fans claimed an anti-corruption investigation into the LSG star after another flop show against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Lucknow Super Giants have managed to win two games this season, thanks to their bowlers who got them back into the game despite a poor performance by the batsmen. LSG has one of the strongest batting units of IPL 2026; However, neither player is in good form.
The three destructive batsmen in the LSG lineup have been consistent failures for the supergiants in Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran. With a lead of fifty points over any of these players, Pooran’s form has been a major concern.
Nicholas Pooran continues his dreadful form in IPL 2026
Nicholas Pooran’s lack of form is a major concern for Lucknow Super Giants, not because they are not getting runs from the experienced batsman, but because he has not shown the intent to score runs that Pooran is widely known for.
Pooran has scored just 42 runs after playing all 5 matches in this edition of the IPL and his strike rate is below 80, that too in a T20 tournament, where he had previously batted with a strike rate of 175-200 in the last season.
Puran was once again out on one run after playing seven balls. He was clean bowled by Josh Hazlewood, who was bowling his third over after the end of the power play.
Nicholas Pooran has been accused of match fixing by LSG fans
The West Indies left-hander has never struggled like this before in the shortest format of the game. His form has declined since the last season of IPL, as he announced his international retirement in the meantime.
Pooran has been lacking in form this season of the competition, as Rishabh Pant has snatched away his rightful position at number one. 3. Pooran scored all his runs last season at no. 3 position.
Puran has been accused of deliberately not playing well as he has been ignored from the number 1 position of the team. 3. Some people have claimed that he wants to prove that Pant is a selfish person who snatched away his rightful position; However, Pooran is batting at no. 4, and should not be discouraged for this reason.
I am 100% convinced that Nicholas Pooran is ‘deliberately underperforming’ for LSG, the only reason why Rishabh Pant has taken his rightful place at No. 3.
Look at his body language. He seems mentally broken.
Nicholas Pooran has always been a happy and carefree person but this season he has been very… pic.twitter.com/EB6c32agFK– Troll Cricket Unlimited (@TUnlimitedd) 15 April 2026
Fans troll Nicholas Pooran after massive drop in form in IPL 2026 “Nicholas Pooran actually said ‘Consistency is important’ and lived it up,” he said.
Nicholas Puran really said “consistency is key” and delivered, just not what anyone asked for

Players who disrespect international cricket always face huge downfall. Nicholas Pooran retired from international cricket for money and has now passed away. If he continues to perform like this, very soon he will be treated like garbage. pic.twitter.com/87Sjf1YamO

Is Nicholas Pooran playing for the team or against it? Lack of intention is suspicious. This needs serious investigation! Sold or just finished? LSG fans deserve answers. #IPL2026 #nicolaspuran #lsg #fixing?

Nicholas Pooran destroyed his cricketing career with his own hands. I love watching that greedy asshole fail again and again. Mark my words, he will be begging on the streets within a year.
