Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a disappointing batting performance in their opening match of the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Against Rajasthan Royals, CSK were all out for just 127 runs in 19.4 overs with all 10 of their batsmen in charge.
CSK, who have stars like Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sarfaraz Khan and even Ayush Mhatre in their batting line-up, craved for runs against RR’s bowling department. At one point in the match, even the figure of 100 runs seemed beyond his reach. For CSK, it was only Jamie Overton who somehow managed to drag the team to a respectable score.
