Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored his first half-century for the India national cricket team. On 23 July, against the Zimbabwe national cricket team, the 15-year-old opening batsman recorded his maiden fifty for Team India.

On the first ball of the seventh over of the second innings, Vaibhav completed his half-century by stealing a double off the ball of Zimbabwean bowler Richard Ngarava. The batsman had to face only 18 balls to touch the fifty-run mark.
