Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made a big move as a replacement for Harshit Rana. On Wednesday (25 March), the franchise announced that it has included Navdeep Saini as a replacement for the injured Harshit Rana. It is not an ideal replacement for like, as players are known for their different playing styles.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 season, KKR suffered a blow when Harshit was ruled out of the entire tournament due to injury. Taking no rush, the franchise took time to select a suitable replacement to fill the void as Rana is no longer a fast bowler, he also developed his batting skills under Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Navdeep Saini will play IPL 2026 from KKR in place of Harshit Rana.
Navdeep Saini, on the other hand, is mostly known for generating raw pace. This promising bowler was once seen as India’s next star. But, due to consistency, the fast bowler soon fell down the ladder. With three-time IPL winning team KKR, Navdeep will be looking to revive his form in the 2026 season.
