England and Pakistan will face each other in the 16th match of the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The match is to be played on Wednesday (October 15) at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
With three wins from as many matches, England are currently second on the points table and are one of only two unbeaten teams left in the competition. A win in the upcoming match will take England back to the top position.
England has never lost an ODI match against Pakistan and will be a strong contender for victory in the upcoming match as well. In their last match, they defeated Sri Lanka by 89 runs on the same ground.
A brilliant century from Nat Sciver-Brunt took England to 253/9 before they bowled out Sri Lanka for just 164. Looking at their form, England will be eyeing another win and strengthening their position.

Pakistan, on the other hand, has faced a dreadful campaign so far. They have not only lost all their matches but also lost most of them. With three losses in as many matches, they are currently at the bottom of the points table.
Pakistan have never won an ODI against England and will have to do something extraordinary to defeat their arch hosts in the upcoming match. Even if Pakistan fails to win the match, they will be keen to put up a respectable performance.
In their last match, they had to face a crushing defeat of 107 runs at the hands of Australia. She did well with the ball to restrict Australia to 76/7, before Beth Mooney’s century took the seven-time world champions to 221. In reply, Pakistan was all out for just 114 runs.
