Harry Brook’s team lost ODI against South Africa
Prior to the T20I series, both teams faced an ODI series, which South Africa won after winning 7 wickets and 5 runs before 5 runs.
However, Harry Brooke -led side strongly bounced a strong consolation victory in the previous game by 342 runs in the final game. This was the biggest win in the history of ODI cricket.
English captain Harry Brook was happy with the final performance displayed by his team and appreciated Jacob Bethel and Joe Root for his centuries. He said:
“Last performance, we were amazing with the bat and the bowling speaks for ourselves. If we get a good wicket like this, there is no reason that we cannot get 400-450, we have really found good batsmen in the top seven.
“(On Bethle) He is good against spin, especially against the left -handed spin, helping us back our main bowler for a long time. They have been doing so for many years, Rooty is unprecedented and can separate the teams. We are a team that wants to move forward.”
