England’s women’s national cricket team has been fined 10% of their match fee for maintaining a higher rate during the first T20I against India’s women’s national cricket team in Nottingham on Saturday, 28 June. The ICC slapped the women of England on Sunday, 29 June with a fine.

The ICC has confirmed that even after considering the time allowance, England was found to be two overs of the required number of number. The approval was confirmed by the match referee Helen Pack.

According to the ICC rules, teams are fined 5% of their match fee for each. Match officials Jacqueline Williams, James Middlebrook, Sui Redfaren and Anna Harris have accused England women, and captain Nut Skver-Bunt accepted the punishment.
