Kingsmen Hyderabad team owner Fawad Sarwar in his recent interview claimed that England’s red-ball players will not be given NOC by their board for the upcoming season. Furthermore, he believes that the PSL could have been the second best league, but it is not because of improper management.
Pakistan Super League will be played in the upcoming season with the arrival of new teams. The new team Kingsmen Hyderabad owned by Fawad Sarwar has made many strange statements on the upcoming PSL season and the development of PSL.
After many players dropped out in the IPL season, the PSL season will attract many new players this season. Along with the Hyderabad team, Sialkot Stallions have also been named in the Pakistan Super League season.
England will not give NOC to red ball cricketers
Farwad Sarwar gave a big statement on ECB and England cricketers. England will probably not hand over NOCs to its red-ball cricketers for the season following the ICC T20 World Cup. Apart from this, England will be busy with the red-ball schedule.
England players do not feature in the entire IPL, and many big names like Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook and Adil Rashid are not part of the IPL-like league, which shares the same window as the PSL, this season.
However, the team owner said that the ECB will not give NOC to their Test cricketer, citing excessive workload between franchises and international cricket. Fawad Sarwar said, “I don’t think the ECB will give NOC to England’s red-ball players. This is the latest update we have.”
“You have created your own competitors for no reason,” claimed the new PSL team owner.
The Pakistan Super League has often been promoted as one of the most prestigious leagues in the world by Pakistan players, former stars, PSL committee members in the PCB and others. However, in terms of value or popularity, the PSL is nowhere near leagues like the IPL, The Hundred, SA20 or even the ILT20.
The new investor in Pakistan franchise level cricket also mentioned that if someone is not able to handle the team properly, then he should leave it. There is no reason to continue the approach that has resulted in so many PSL competitors.
Fawad Sarwar said, “PSL should be the second best league. You have created your own competitors for no reason. If you can’t run the team properly, hand it over to someone else.”

“PSL players’ salary range should be $5-6 million” – Fawad Sarwar
The salary cap of PSL cricketers has always been a topic of discussion and concern. Many believe that great international stars are attracted to the IPL because of its insane salary cap and auction rates. He also believes that the PSL does not offer enough money, with many new leagues now opening up as options for these cricketers.
Amid such discussions, the new franchise owner in the PSL has also claimed that even if the draft system continues, the salary cap for cricketers should be increased, and it should be increased to a new salary cap of $5-6 million.
Fawad Sarwar said, “The salary range of PSL players should be $5-6 million.”
