Nehra, who worked closely with Siraj in the IPL setup, said that Sirj has stamina to bowl 20-22 overs a day and the team is under pressure to flourish hunger if necessary. He also suggested that if the pitch helps the seamors, Siraj may wreak havoc with five wickets in the same magic of 7-8 overs and choose wickets between 25-30.
“Siraj now has more experience. So, I won’t be surprised if he ends with 25-30 wickets in this series. He is a leader of the attack with Bumrah,” The former Indian cricketer said.
“He did the same in the IPL. IPL is a completely different ball game than Test cricket, but Siraj is a good sufficient bowler to do good in every format. Whatever he has done in the last few years will build it on it. We have seen him bowling first (in 2021) in England. The team is in trouble. Nehra concluded.
