Sanjay Bangar, the batting of former National Cricket Team of India, has considered Rishabh Pant, wicketkeeper-batsman of Ashish Nehra, head of Titans (GT), Gujarat, when he exploded on the spot.
Sanjay Bangar praised superstar wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and labeled him naturally as a gift and fearless player.

The wicketkeeper-batsman fractured his leg after a delivery from Chris Woakes, hit him brutally, and was immediately taken out of the ground on a small car. Later, the scan revealed that E and Pants were dropped from action for the later Test match at Kennington Oval in London.
Meanwhile, he has not been selected in India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2025. Ajit Agkar-led selection committee selected Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma as two wicketkeeper-batsmen in the 15-man squad and Dhruv Juraral as a back-up.
He is a naturally talented batsman – Sanjay Bangar on Rishabh Pant
Former India batting coach revealed that he saw signs of fearlessness of the pants in his career very quickly as the wicketkeeper-batsman rapidly urged the bowler to bowl him on the bodyline.
Bangar found this practice quite brave and said that Ashish Nehra’s assessment about the sky touching the pants was correct.
“I heard from Ashish Nehra that Rishabh is a very good player who is going to progress very quickly. He is a naturally talented batsman. But, he is also very fearless. I saw the first sign of his fearlessness in the nets itself.
“He used to ask the bowlers to bowl quickly and attack his body. Very few batsmen had this mindset. They had just started playing the IPL back. So Nehra’s assessment was correct. After a long time, we have found a wicketkeeper who can bat in the top -5,” Bangar told Dordershan Sports.

Why was Rishabh Pant ignored for the Asia Cup 2025?
Although the pants are currently recovering from their injuries after scoring 479 runs against England, he did not have a certain-shot pick in the Asia Cup 2025 squad of India, even though it is fit.
This is because their number in T20 cricket has not been very good in the last few years. In IPL 2025, he looked terrible and scored just 269 runs for LSG, with the best of 118* and on average with a strike rate of 24.45 and 133.16.
In addition, the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector Ajit Aggarkar addressed the press conference, saying no player was missed by selection due to injury issues.
Rishabh Pant is providing regular updates on his recovery through social media posts, but some reports have claimed that wicketkeeper-batsmen may stay on the shore for some time and missed the home Test series against the West Indies National cricket team.
