We have created a wonderful relationship with BCCI – Dream11 CEO

Harsh Jain, co-founder of Dream Sports and CEO of Dream 11, said he has a wonderful relationship with BCCI. In an interview with Moneycontrol on 25 August, he said that the partnership started almost a decade ago.

“We have a wonderful relationship with the BCCI extending for almost a decade. For the first time we became an official partner for the IPL, we were one of the first technical companies to do so. Since then, we have been lucky to keep IPL naming rights for Dream 11 IPL and now many have become a Jersey sponsor for IPL teams.”

No decision has been taken yet – Harsh Jain

Harsh Jain said that the company’s business model has been disrupted by the new gaming law. He said that any decision on sponsorship would be made only through mutual agreement, saying that the dialogue is going on and no final resolution has been made yet.

“But I think it’s all was now based on a business model. And with that business model being influenced by the change in law, we are going to all our partners and saying that we do not have the ability to continue our marketing budget as the business is not present under the same agreement. But I think it is very clear with BCCI, it is very clear that we will do some with only contact agreement.

And those discussions are still going on. I can only say that no decision has been received yet. But they are discussing about how we can agree on the way forward. ,
