Mumbai Indians are yet to update about the availability of their captain Hardik Pandya and the medical team is yet to take a final decision before the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, Suryakumar Yadav has confirmed his availability for the next game.
Mumbai Indians have played ten matches in this season of the competition and have managed to win only three matches in the season. However, the team has also lost seven consecutive matches. He has not been officially eliminated from the competition yet.
Suryakumar Yadav confirms his availability against RCB
Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav’s stance as captain of the national team is already under question. However, amidst all this, he has been blessed with a daughter, and hence, the cricketer has taken some time off citing personal reasons.
He did not accompany the Mumbai team to Raipur for the upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, he has made himself available for the upcoming encounter and according to Cricbuzz, he can step in as their captain if Hardik Pandya is unable to play in the next match.

Hardik Pandya to undergo fitness assessment in Raipur; MI medical team will decide on his availability
Hardik Pandya could not play the last match against Lucknow Super Giants due to illness. Although Mumbai Indians did not report it as an injury, it was later reported that he was suffering from some back spasms.
He was replaced by Suryakumar Yadav, who broke their losing streak in the IPL and saved them from an early exit in the competition. Hardik Pandya flew to Raipur separately after Mumbai Indians and joined them later.
Now he is likely to undergo some fitness tests and then train with the Mumbai Indians team. After this a decision on his availability will be taken by the MI medical team.
