Dhruv Shorey equals List A record of most centuries

Dhruv Shorey has continued his brilliant performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing in the 2025–26 VHT season, Shorey played for Vidarbha and scored a century in the very first game against Bengal. However, Bengal batsmen stole all the credit while chasing the big target.

Dhruv Shorey has equaled the batting record of Tamil Nadu opener Narayan Jagadeesan. Shorey scored his fifth century with his second consecutive century in the match against Hyderabad. No but coming. 3, he scored 109 runs in just 77 balls.

Dhruv Shorey’s VHT innings started with 136 off 125 balls against Bengal in the opening game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also faltered in the innings against Hyderabad. Shorey, who came to bat at the top of the order, contributed in big partnerships.

Two Vidarbha batsmen feature in consecutive list hundred records

Indian domestic legends Narayan Jagadeesan and Dhruv Shorey along with many other players have also made a big record in List A cricket. like compassion Nair, Devdutt Padikkal, Kumar Sangakkara and Alviro Pietersen all had the record of four consecutive List A centuries.

Karun Nair also scored four consecutive centuries for Vidarbha in the last Vijay Hazare Trophy season. On the other hand, Kumar Sangakkara is the only player to score four consecutive centuries in One Day International cricket.
