Dhruv Jurel dismissed Abhinandan Singh for 24 runs in RR vs RCB match.

Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match number 16, was between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RR won the toss and decided to field first; Both teams made one change to their sides respectively. RCB’s innings faltered while batting first, but Rajat Patidar scored a brilliant half-century and helped his team score 201/8.

Coming to chase the target of 202 runs, RR wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel took the responsibility in the last over of the powerplay, he scored 24 runs in the last powerplay over against Abhinandan Singh, he hit three fours and two sixes in the over and ended the powerplay.

RR are on a roll

RR scored 97/1 in the power play and this was their highest ever score in the first six overs of the game. He also scored the highest score so far in the power play of this year’s IPL. Dhruv Jurel was the spectator at the non-striker end along with Vaibhav Suryavanshi. After this the former joined the party.

Both the batsmen put up a partnership of 100 runs in no time as their score was 129/1 after the completion of 8 overs. However, Krunal Pandya caught the big fish in 8.1 overs as Suryavanshi returned to the pavilion after scoring 78 runs in 26 balls, putting the Royals in the driver’s seat. Shimron Hetmyer came back after a duck on the next ball.

RR dropped from 129/1 to 129/3 in the space of two deliveries. But Dhruv Jurel was present at the crease and captain Riyan Parag came to bat and faced a hat-trick ball against Krunal Pandya and Parag directed the hat-trick ball for a single. When Hetmyer was out, Royals needed 70 runs from 66.

The match was delayed due to rain; However, no overs were lost as it was a full 20 overs match.
